Soleus Air Re-invents the Portable Air Conditioner

New Heat Pump Portable Air Conditioner & Heater Maximizes Output While Saving Energy

El Monte, California; April 11, 2008...Soleus Air International, a leading manufacturer of powerful, stylish, and technology driven portable air conditioners introduced the first Heat Pump portable air conditioner on the market. Heat pump technology powerfully heats and cools the air while using a relatively small amount of energy compared to less powerful portable heating technologies. The newest addition to Soleus Air's line of heat pump portable air conditioners is the sleekly designed PH4-12R-01.

Traditional portable air conditioners and portable heaters produce a maximum of 5,000 BTUs of heat while consuming 1500 watts of electricity. The Soleus Air heat pump portable air conditioner and heater produces over 12,000 BTU of heat while consuming less than 1500 watts of electricity, making it the most powerful and energy efficient 110 volt heater on the market today. Heat pump technology has been around for a long time, but Soleus Air is the first company to introduce this proven and powerful technology into the portable air conditioner category.   Using heat pump technology allows Soleus to create a machine that can be used year-round to cool, heat, dehumidify, and clean the air.

Currently, Soleus Air manufactures heat pump portable air conditioners in 10,000 BTU, 12,000 BTU and 14,000 BTU models. Features include a built-in evaporative dehumidifier, 3 speed fan, air cleaner, easy-to-read multi-color display, remote control, and digital thermostat.
